FAQ
|
| Who owns my trees if I sell them to NoCarbEx? |
| You still own the tree but the North American Carbon Exchange takes title to the carbon offset. It is anticipated that the North American Carbon Exchange will in turn sell your offsets through the international marketplaces to greenhouse gas emitters to offset their CO2 production. |
|
| What if I sell my home? |
| The carbon in the trees convey for thirty years to the North American Carbon Exchange and subsequent owners.
You can still sell your home, but the new owner cannot remove the tree except as below. |
| Can I, or new owners, remove the trees I planted? |
| Yes. The offsets may be purchased back through the exchange. |
|
| Are there volunteer opportunities? |
| Yes. NoCarbEx volunteers across North America can help the auditing the inventory of new trees. |
